THE FARM ESTATE

500 olive trees, fruit orchards, cand whatever is ripe that week.

Olive Oil

Five hundred and twenty olive trees, and nobody here can say with certainty how old the oldest of them are (more than 500 years old for sure). We cultivate them each harvest season ourselves and the olives go to a certified mill on the hill opposite. The oil is organic and carries the IGP quality seal.

Limoncello

The lemons grow a few meters from the kitchen door. We make the limoncello ourselves every year because it is the right thing to do with that much fruit, and an unlabelled bottle finds its way onto the counter after dinner, or at whatever hour the evening has reached. Some years there is more of it than others.

Fruits

More than sixty different fruits, nuts and vegetables grow across the estate, and they come in at different points between spring and late autumn. Whatever is ripe in the week you are here is yours to pick — figs in August, chestnuts in October, tomatoes and herbs through the summer. Nothing is charged for, and nobody is counting.
